Children from the Frontline City of Orikhiv Visit the House of Angel

The House of Angel Children’s Village warmly welcomed children from the frontline city of Orikhiv, in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region. For the boys and girls who were forced to leave their homes because of the war, this week was a time of rest, new friendships, heartfelt conversations, and unforgettable adventures.
Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the children attending the Orikhiv Regional Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children, including orphans and children facing difficult life circumstances, were evacuated to Poland. The institution later relocated to the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where it has continued its important mission for several years — welcoming children from its home region and facilitating the return of children from abroad.
The Ty-Angel Charitable Foundation team prepared an exciting and eventful programme for the young guests, filled with engaging activities, outdoor adventures, and joyful experiences.
Throughout the week, the children explored the beauty of the Carpathian region, enjoyed walks through autumn forests, swam in the pool, rode bicycles and quad bikes, and experienced the thrill of the zipline. A special highlight was their trip to Lviv, where they visited a water park and enjoyed lunch at the legendary Kryivka restaurant.
Another memorable adventure was a ride on the Carpathian Tram, offering the children breathtaking views of our region. They also visited local monasteries, where they had an opportunity to enrich their spiritual lives, connect with one another, and experience the unique warmth and hospitality of the Carpathian region.
Yet the most precious moments of the week were not just the trips and activities. They were the genuine laughter of children, new friendships, warm embraces, heartfelt conversations, and the opportunity to forget, even if only for a little while, the troubling realities of war.
We believe that this experience helped the children relieve emotional stress, regain their emotional strength, improve their physical well-being, enjoy positive experiences, and make new friends. After all, care, a safe environment, and warm human connection are especially important for children whose childhoods have been shaped by war.
The week passed incredibly quickly, leaving behind many beautiful memories. It was difficult to say goodbye to our young guests, but we believe this is just one of many meetings to come, and we look forward to welcoming them back to the House of Angel very soon!
We sincerely thank everyone who supports the work of the Ty-Angel Charitable Foundation and helps create these precious moments of happiness for children. Your kindness, compassion, and support are truly invaluable. Together, we can give children so much more than a holiday — we can give them faith in goodness, a sense of security, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
Every contribution matters. Together, we are changing children’s lives for the better!
