The charitable Foundation “You are an Angel” together with psychologists, social and correctional educators of the Dolyna Regional Center for Social Support of Children and Families “Warm House” is working to create a modern space for teaching children with special educational needs.
Eight modern laptops, six multifunctional devices for color and black-and-white printing, document scanning have already been purchased. Besides, and an advance payment has been made to the company that accepted our order for special desks and armchairs, game kits for construction, rehabilitation and sensor equipment. which will fill the space of the study room.
We plan to spend more than UAH 500 000 to equip a resource room in the “Warm House”. The resource room should start working in April 2022.
The resource room is a specially equipped space for psychological and pedagogical services to provide correctional and developmental classes. The peculiarity of this room is clearly structured and organized areas: educational, cognitive, household, and practical. The main purpose of the room is to create a favorable environment for adaptation of students with special educational needs, to conduct training according to the individual development plan of the child accompanied by a correctional teacher and psychologist, to provide services for physical adaptation of children with disabilities.
Unfortunately, the number of children with special educational needs increases every year in the “Warm House”. Therefore, this model of education provides the right to education to any child and allows us to organize education for each student in the most suitable environment.
