The children's town "House of an Angel" was once again filled with children's laughter, joy and warmth — the first summer camp was held here as part of the project "Psychosocial Support for Children at Risk in the War Time", which is implemented by the "You are an Angel" charity Foundation with the support of the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service.
This time, twenty children from institutions in the Carpathian region visited the "House of an Angel", where they immersed themselves in an atmosphere of safety, care, fun, and healing for a week.
Every day of the camp was filled with interesting events, adventures, and discoveries. The children attended a service at the Goshiv Monastery, swam in the pool, sunbathed on the town's territory, went on an excursion to the Patriot Museum in the village of Tysiv, traveled to the Dovbush Rocks, swam in a mountain river, and enjoyed evening bike rides along the Carpathian trails.
No less vivid were the activities: roller skating, table tennis, picnics by the lake, attractions in the water park, as well as delicious treats –homemade dishes, fruits, and berries.
Of particular value to the children were master classes in aromatherapy and coffee art, as well as communication with psychologists and meetings with individuals who sincerely shared their experiences and inspiration.
All this is part of our great mission: to give children whose childhoods were traumatized by war the opportunity to feel happy, heard, and protected again.
Thank you to the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Service for the partnership that helps us make children's dreams a reality.
